Bonita Springs FL

Bonita Springs is a medium-sized coastal city (i.e. on the ocean, a  bay, or inlet) located in the state of Florida. With a population of  43,914 people and 11 constituent neighborhoods, Bonita Springs is the  65th largest community in Florida. Bonita Springs is an extremely  popular destination for tourists and seasonal residents. So much of the  population is seasonal such that the city’s population swells  significantly during the vacation season, and drops again when the  season ends.

Bonita Springs home prices are not only among the most expensive in  Florida, but Bonita Springs real estate also consistently ranks among  the most expensive in America.

Unlike some cities, Bonita Springs isn’t mainly white- or  blue-collar. Instead, the most prevalent occupations for people in  Bonita Springs are a mix of both white- and blue-collar jobs. Overall,  Bonita Springs is a city of service providers, sales and office workers  and managers. There are especially a lot of people living in Bonita  Springs who work in sales jobs (14.28%), food service (12.53%) and  office and administrative support (11.92%).

A relatively large number of people in Bonita Springs telecommute to  their jobs. Overall, about 9.06% of the workforce works from home. While  this may seem like a small number, as a fraction of the total workforce  it ranks among the highest in the country. These workers are often  telecommuters who work in knowledge-based, white-collar professions. For  example, Silicon Valley has large numbers of people who telecommute.  Other at-home workers may be self-employed people who operate small  businesses out of their homes.

Much of the local economy is centered around tourism; some businesses  may be operated only during the high season. During the low season,  year-round residents will notice that the city is a substantially  quieter place to live.

Bonita Springs is a major retirement destination. In fact, people 65  and over make up 33.84% of the population. For those considering a place  to retire, Bonita Springs may be a good choice because of the city’s  services and social community are oriented toward the over-65  demographic.

The city is relatively quiet, having a combination of lower  population density and few of those groups of people who have a tendency  to be noisy. For example, Bonita Springs has relatively fewer families  with younger children, and/or college students. Combined, this makes  Bonita Springs a pretty quiet place to live overall. If you like quiet,  you will probably enjoy it here.

Bonita Springs is also nautical, which means that parts of it are  somewhat historic and touch the ocean or tidal bodies of water, such as  inlets and bays. Such areas are often places that visitors and locals go  for waterfront activities or taking in the scenery.
